New Technology
Gelling Systems
Ethox has applied for a patent covering a novel
gel system for both aqueous and nonaqueous systems
to generate firm gels.
Viscosifiers
Ethox now has aqueous surfactant systems that
perform significantly better than existing
technology. With levels of as low as 1%, viscosities
of 100,000 cps or greater can be achieved. These
viscosifiers have been successfully used in shampoos
and bath products.
Ethox has also partnered with Earth Reclaim who
bring unique technology in various industrial
markets such as inks, concrete sealer, railroad
track grease, mold releases, and sintered metals.
In October of 2004, Calvin Wicker joined Ethox as
our Product Development Manager. He brings expertise
in metal, textile, and personal care industries.
For many years Ethox Chemicals has been
participating in the United Way of Greenville County
campaigns. This year was an outstanding success for
us. We raised over $35,400 which included a generous
corporate gift. We are particularly proud of our
participation rate of 93%. Our campaign qualified us
to once again be the recipient of the Chairman’s
Award. Ethox Chemicals also participates in the
Meals on Wheels program. A team of volunteers
delivers hot lunches to the homebound in our
community every Friday.
Ethox Chemicals is proud of its tradition of
community support through both voluntarism and
financial gifts.
